That's what I thought. The bracket I have is not angled enought for the lower hole. Dead straight on the upper. Not sure how this is going to turn out. I could redrill the brake pedal, come up about 1/2 an inch. The rod will have an angle going into the booster. Fighting some leaks still. I hate making brake lines. Also will ultimatly have to figure out a way to turn the power steering pump faster.
You can use the top hole...should work fine. I don't think you need additional flow for the HB...no member on Performance Years has mentioned a flow problem with stock pump set-up on their late 60s / early 70s LeMans/GTO cars.
George, I am using a Lee power steering pump. It is the only thing that will work with the procharger. The top hole works just has funny feel. Real soft and not a lot of feedback. Mike any ideas who would make a 5 inch pulley? The reallly cool answer is to make a custom aluminium single piece crank pulley with the blower drive built in.
Drove it more last night. System gets better the more you use it. Still think I will mod the brake pedal arm. I think I am wrong about the need for a residual valve if you use the Astro van master cylinder. The valve is built into the master cylinder. George, thanks for all the help. All the links and comments really made a difference. Next tread will be how to keep the engine form stalling on hard stops and to take some dive out of the suspension system.
I just adjusted the pedal higher and the system is starting to feel real good. For a while I was not sure if this was going to work but I am pretty happy it with now.
It is now official this system is great. The princess (my daughter) has driven the car and really liked the feel. Need any help on putting in one of these systems let me know. I can probably steer you clear of some of the problems.
