Guys... I picked this up today... Its a very nicely done, 4 inch cowl induction hood for a 68 or 69 Lark/GS. The hood is steel, the cowl is fibreglass. The man was a body man and did a very nice job of blending the two. There are a few minor chips and dings here'n there but overall, this hood is 02COOOL! $275 plus s&h. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
I would think...a safe, secure, solid CRATE would be my first concern...I've shipped hoods before no problem..however, this hood is about 4" higher than a standard hood...a corrugated box is not safe with that fibreglass cowl....so a custom crate would HAVE TO be built....prolly $75 - 100 for lumber and materials. Once thats done, we would have to consult a shipper for rates. I would guess, prolly around $130 or so. This hood, a crate and shipping to your door could be around $500. Dont hold me to that, its JUST A GUESStimate!!!... :beers2: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
hmmm...gotta hook on the line here :TU: ...always working some kinda deal and maybe even a sale soon? o No: Stay tuned! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Wheelz ! I am going to pass & stick with my original, 69 ram-air hood ! That is, one Sharp LQQKing hood ! ! ! Thanks anyway, Jeff
AWE c'mon Jeff...nuthin says "HEY LOOK AT ME" morebetter than a huge cowl hood on that Buick! :bla: Oh well.. who's next? Wheelz, Tampa Bay
WELL...WHAT SHADE OF WHITE do you WANT??? (..pure white? Off white? Antique white? NotQuiteWHITE? Yellowy white? Tanish white?) :Brow: . . . .
Sorry Wheelz, I've already got a "perf" hood hanging in the garage. I DO like the cowl look better, but I know shipping is a bear, and I've no place to hang a 2nd hood. Someone will take this though, I'm sure.
ANYONE? If you hurry I MIGHT just find it a "ride" to Ohio.....key word is: 'MIGHT'...his truck is loading up fast! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
