After looking at some video of my drag car during launch through about the sixty, the front was lifting...hitting the limiters then coming down and unloading the rear tires then doing the same thing about three times. (never even felt it!) So I thought an easy fix...just tighten up the Koni shocks. Well I have a broken shock...it wasn't even doing anything. So what's the very best front drag shock for stock control arm cars? Thanks in advance!
BROKEN?! WOW! Like just not working properly, or broken broken? I guess that would explain the crappy 60-footers. Wanna try out my QA1's? It would be a good way for me to find out if they're as good as some people claim . . . Plus, I probably still owe you huh?
Maybeo No: because I haven't decided on which shock yet...and I would like the best out there. And I want to go racing this weekend!!!!!!! And yes...not working. The second from the top cup that clamps the shock to the frame broke and slipped down the shock rod which caused zero rebound... Edit*** oop's I meant zero compression.
Afco, QA1 but only the "R" stuff. Strange look really nice for the money but no history as far as I know. i know the really good stuff is custom valved for your car. I would call Paul at H&R and see what he thinks.
Just ordered the Double adjustable Afco's. Also being that they are made in the good old USA sealed the deal:TU: Thanks guys...
are the competition engineering 3 way drag shocks any good? I got a set of 4 that look new with a car I bought that I am going to need to sell soon. http://www.competitionengineering.com/catalog/CategoryDisplay.asp?CatCode=10032
guy wear are you racing at this weekend?not kaukauna i hope, were off....good choice with the afco's,thats what i would buy next.hardcore drag racing info at yellowbullit.com.
Well, I was hoping to go to WIR, but I see they have the drop fest going on. What I need is a good test session. Would this be a good weekend to do that at wir? How did you do the last two weeks?
I've tried them years ago. What I didn't like about them was the front wouldn't settle down. When I put the koni's on, the car picked up speed from the air going around the car instead of under. That was back in the early 90's, when koni adjustable's were the rave.
yellow bullet is great but read the rules or you've had it. Plus don't go there with a... well... for no better name stupid questions you will be crusified. I've been a yellow bulleter for years best site out there and funny as hell as long as you don't offend easy LOL
