The last few years I've started a thread asking who will have their V8 power adder cars at the Nats. Every time, my turbo car isn't ready to go! :error: This time......... I'm not starting a thread! :idea2:
That's cool. Mine won't be streetable by then but I am interested in seeing what it will do in the 1/4. (and see how much it weighs!)
I'm trying! Still need to get the engine together and installed, but the good thing is there shouldn't be much fabrication this time.
The crank is in the block, and the girdle is torqued down. I'll start stuffing pistons in it tomorrow.
Will be there next year. I think that there is going to be a big showing of the B to the fourth cars (big bad boosted Buicks)
Thats funny! lol.... I'll be there riding shotgun with Staged 1. If he dont blow it up before then :eek2:
Alan, That's amazing your going that fast! Is the Estate Wagon still intact, i.e. full interior with options?
The door panels aren't back in yet! The entire AC system was removed to make room, and the power steering box was swapped for a manual box. The exhaust system stops at the transmission, and the spare tire cover is in the shop somewhere. I didn't want to do anything to the car for the sake of making it weigh less, but some things needed to go to make room. The block fill, GearVendors OD, turbos, ect added a little weight back.
Good grief, Alan! That's 705 lbs more than my non-air Wildcat, even when it was sporting iron heads and intake!!! Devon
At some point I plan to swap the driveline into a '67 Wildcat and drop as much as 1000lbs. (and about 1 sec!!!) :Brow:
Alan if you need more power you could try a set up like this.http://s293.photobucket.com/albums/mm56/JESUPERCAT/?action=view¤t=start4test.mp4 The difference in weight between your 2 cars is about what our car weights.
