Shine up your battery all purdy and take it AND the alternator back to where you bought the alt. Tell them thier faulty alt fried your perfectly good battery and that you want both replaced. If they argue start loudly talking about spilled acid and potential battery explosions loudly in front of other customers. I bet you get a new battery on the house.:beers2: Robert
Your regulator is most likely the problem.It's what controls the charging rate.Run it too long & you will damage the alternator.
Ditto. had similar problem, new 12 dollar regulator fixed the problem. The aftermarket ones do not look to bad compared to the originals. Plus they are all electronic now.
No new battery for you, my boy. Maybe a punch in the nose or a call to the cops for disturbing the public is more like it. I deal with scammers like that all the time, all they do is drive up the prices even more. Someone's gotta pay. If you only knew what it takes to make the wheels turn...
