Thanks Frank, I will get a check out to you next week! And thanks for all of your help David. :spank: p
Since the gaskets are different according to Mike - next question. Will correct ones be available for models other than Skylarks ? o No:
Frank- B-E-A-UTIFUL!!!!! I will post some pics of it beside an original one! FYI: frank also includes a FULL SIZE template to mount it on the door! Thanks Frank!! :beers2: :beers2:
Frank, The gasket was just very slightly different, so as to fit the different curvatures on the various body styles. You really needed to look hard to see the differences. Your Skylark fitting should be able to work for most all bodies. Looking forward to seeing this new mirror.
Got mine Friday, and its perfect and fits perfectly. Great work by Frank to have these made for us! I'll get pictures tomorrow hopefully.
I got my mirror also and it is hard to tell it apart from the NOS mirror mounted on my car.... Very nice..... Be carefull using the template because the mirror was mounted in different locations on the '68 and '69 cars due to the '68 having a vent window. I believe the '69 was mounted further foward on the door. Can anyone verify this? I don't want to feed anyone a line of #$@# Here is a photo of a drivers side mirror...
That inset car looks familiar.. p Here's where I mounted mine a couple years ago. I had no template so I winged it.
Hey Frank,Are you or anyone else doing 70 LH & RH mirrors? I think they would sell very good [probably much better than the 69's even]
The only 68-69 mirriors I have left are seconds with a slight blemish in the chrome. Great for drivers. Most of you would never notice. $75.00 plus postage. Frank
