At the moment it is going through a POS phase. Unlike your POS, it will get through that phase and become a fine automobile! :bla:
Ray- I have a vinyl top, so I guess that's how we'll tell them apart! I see yours is a 4 speed too, cool. :Brow:
I hear it's some old bondo bucket gussied up for an internet sale. I feel sorry for the person who ended up with this alleged "little old lady only drove it to church on Sunday" car. I heard it was Buckwheat's last ride complete with dubs, velour, and hydraulics returned to near original with a Maaco paint job and LOTS of photoshop. o No: As PT barnum says... p
The frame has been sanded smooth and painted satin black. It looks BEAUTIFUL! The axle tubes have been sanded smooth and the rear is detailed. The chassis assembly will start this week. The body has been epoxy primered underneath and is ready to have the sheet metal repaired. Moving along nicely... Oh, and my POS will beat your POS every day of the week. PLUS! Wimmens dig me.
But your gonna help me get my other POS on its way to being as fast as your POS, right? But in all seriousness, I think you should be playing the role of the "the least interesting man on earth" in those TV commercials.
Ken, I would have to say the Mice took advantage of the long free stay they had !!! They never are neat ou:
This is the worst rust of the car ! It is mostly in the wheelwells & that is it ! O yea, with the exception of of the drivers corner of the firewall area , Mice PISS killed It !! pics to follow
Hey Nick- Is that really my car??? Looks great on the bottom back from the blaster! Yeah, those damn rodents have a way of making a disgusting mess. I imagine a lot of that crap fell when you pulled the headliner down. Great progress! :TU: :TU: :TU: I haven't heard back from the guy that has the rear I want to pick up in Tom's River. If I don't hear back from him, then I'll be down Thursday to drop off parts and a check (tommorow's my wife's birthday). I'll just make a separate trip whenever I hear about that rear (I'm guessing he's on vacation). Looking good so far! Talk to you soon!
Hey thanks, DL. It'll truly be a 28 year dream come true! I'm one of those guys who wouldn't sell because "someday I'll restore it". Well, that someday is now.
restoring one, reducing another from a running car to another pile of metal ... or so I've been told by a sheep whispering in my ear
Ken, doesnt know yet but the X is getting a Vista Roof from a donor ! Lol ! or should I say (Convertble) Sport Wagon, Alan ????
