The gauge will come with everything needed but you don't want to use the hose they provide. Its plastic, you can get copper line in the same size to use instead at a harware store. It won't melt or spring a leak on ya as easy. Though be careful with it, copper tube can kink.
Any good speed shop will have the Autometer copper line for gauges. Cheap insurance against spraying engine oil all over the interior! Brian
Cool thanks. im picking everyhting up today. Whats the best way to route the line, looks like most kits only come with 6ft of copper tubing. Along the wiring harness?

Yes, along the wiring harness. Then through the fire wall. Look for a stock opening in the firewall and use that. There should be one. If not, you'll have to drill your own and use a grommet. 6' is plenty.
i am having the damndest time getting everything to fit. I cant screw in a T directly to the block because the engine begins to widen for the heads. Im looking at options, right now it looks like i need a long pipe to clear the block then T off ... ugh!
hey guys another question. i put in the new gauges and the oil pressure. Thanks for the help. i noticed that when i reved the car up pretty high the oil pressure dropped to 0psi then after a couple quick revs it came back up. its around 10-15 at idle an 40-60 driving. BUT NOW, there is a weird knocking noise on the drivers side not sure what it is and i cant tell if its the timing or not. and suggestions?
Thats a strange one? is this a rebuilt motor? Maybe the pick up is to close to the pan? Or fell off? Low on oil? wrong dipstick making ya think your full? Never heard of that one before. No more hi revs for a bit though Could be why though your now getting odd noises. Though ya got decent pressure. [Ill get yelled at for it but I don't wanna know myself, so I don't have one on mine. I just use the force. ]
ha. I checked the oil and it was pretty low. So this is what im thinking. Last weekend: drove it; oil light came on engine made weird knock noise then went away today: installed pressure gauge; high rev = oil psi drop, light on and knock, then psi comes back up later today: checked oil and it was low so i added 3 qts (dont yell at me) 10w-40 oil psi does not drop on high rev but knock is still present Thinking it might be: i did something really f*** to my girl and damaged something spark plugs brocken? detonation some how? om going to drive it around and see what happens
You may be doing the rebuild sooner than you planned. Sounds like you could have spun a bearing. 3 quarts low....very bad :Smarty: :error: .
i know i know im kicking myself in the ass i didnt realize it was that low. This bearing, can i do it or what is involved? is it major?
