well some of you may or maynot know, i have a 69 wildcat i bought and put in a 455 for the time so i could rebuild the 430, well i pulled the 455 the other day to fix all the leaks(which are quite a few) but since the engine and trans is out i figured i may try and find some metal for the body...is there a car that i can take sheetmetal off of and it be pretty damn close to the wildcat? i need floors probibly a roof(damn vinyl) and trunk... i seen a 69-70 caprice 2 door and it looked very identical thats why i ask...any suggestions?

A Lesabre will be identical in 69. I think. Some years 'Cats had longer hoods n fenders, but I believe that was before 69.

If you need floors, roof and an trunk that doesn't leave much:Dou: ...however if can figure out what chevy parts fit, please let us all know. Sheet metal for the 69 cat is rare to find, Gord

i will do, i have been looking around quite a bit but havent done any measuring and i always forget what the pans in the wildcat look like, i just need to snap a picture, and yes it has quite a bit of rust but i havent seen hardly any so i want to bring it back, but like i say i will do more research and post my findings

If you can find a texas or AZ car you'll save yourself tons of cash and work, they made thousands of 69 cats a rust free one may not be far away from you. good luck, Gord
