http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...70292251202&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT&viewitem= Is there anybody near this car that can take a look at it? Bidding is up to $610 as I write this. Not sure what it should really go for. It is missing a lot of parts, and what's up with the painted chrome? I asked the seller if the quarters and deck lid were rusty or filled, and he says he "can't find any filler". If so, and I can use them on my car, it may be worth looking into.
What method is he useing to find bondo? if he is tapping the quarters ask him to use a small magnet the kind used on an advertisment /bussiness card if it falls off the car there is bondo
It's now 9:25 EDT and its up to $660, but he wants $3900 for it. Here is the Craigs List version. http://sarasota.craigslist.org/cto/980995698.html If you are still interested, I could go sometime tomorrow. Let me know. Also you could call him and ask if he'd take less. o No: The ad says: "For questions call Jimmy at 941-726-8850." :TU: Let me know.
Haha, dont get me wrong chrome is the best. I just thought the painted looks kinda beater-ish kinda thing. Kinda like a demonic theme, like it was on Death Race!
Hey Jeff, I saw that Craigslising too. His ebay listing is with no reserve. Now it's up to $710. That price, plus what it would cost to get it to West Palm (he says I should not consider driving it 150 miles) would probably put it over my budget for a parts car. It'll be interesting to see what the final bid is - and if it ends up relisted! He also has a '71 Malibu SS clone listing without a reserve. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chev...m14&_trkparms=72:727|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1307 I'm kinda wondering if it's a some kind of scam. Thanks for the offer, but unless you happen to be in his neighborhood, I wouldn't go out of your way to look at this one. Best Wishes,
