I only took notice cause i saw a pic of it a swap meet and it had ralleys that we are all looking for. He said it was alittle rusty but good for resto? Its prob a northern Mn car so its prob alot rusty..... Contact Melins Machines, Troy Melin 1 218 453 5534. Maybe he'll shoot you some pics.
Jim- thanks for the link, but there both convertibles Racenu, thaks for the heads up- i'll check it out, but a little far away.... still hoping and looking...:3gears:
Yes I knew it was a convert. I am not aware of a nice hardtop on the market at the moment. The convert appears to be a nice one so I linked it just in case.
There is a very solid one not far from where I live. It has a built 455 w/ 430 heads and a factory posi rear. A/c and p. windows. It was for sale, but now it's parked in front of their garage. In central Fla.,though.
Ted If you can, see if its still available... sounds like what i'm looking for- if it runs good enough, i'll send my dad after it-LOL thanks, Jon
i do like converts, but the fastback roof on the 68 is so awesome, plus the fact i came home from the hospital in one, i really want a hardtop Jon
There was one posted on the BCA forum last spring. Not sure if it sold or not. 1968 Buick Wildcat for sale a real survivor with only 14,500 miles on this beauty car is a 2 door hardtop brown in color with a beige top. asking $ 15,500 or best offer location is Dearborn Michigan 313-846-2173 Edited by mark orden (05/16/08 08:50 AM)
The hardtop that is near my house isn't really for sale right now. They are going to think about it,because the owner's son wants it. I don't think that a 17 year old kid needs a car that will do the 1/4 in 14 sec. I believe they paid 2600. for it. It has had a lot of performance work done to the engine. It is a 455 w/ 430 heads,T/A aluminium intake,T/A cam but no idea what the specs are. I've heard that it is a very stout running car. I'll go back at the end of the week.
TED, YOU ARE AWESOME MAN!!!! Thanks so much for checking on that for me- it sounds just like what i'm looking for, as long as the body is decent, i can take care of the rest- my 68 had a beautiful black bucket interior, which i still have, as well as piles of chrome, sheet metal, etc, etc. i sold my 64 'cat with the intentions of getting another 68, this may be it thanks again Jon:3gears:
Surely theres a drivable 68 2dr hardtop out there somewhere...all i can find is convers, or 4dr sedans.. you see 67's, and 69's, but no 68's:rant: PLEASE???
Jim, a commision would be in order, if i buy it- its triple green with no options, so i'll have to think about it thanks for the heads up!
