I'm sure this is a long shot but I'm looking for a complete and in good order T-10 for my 65 GS project. You can reply to this thread or e-mail me at: gs401_2000@yahoo.com As always thank you for your assistance in advance, Vince
Hello Mark, I will post up a couple pics tonight or tomorrow. The project started about 10 years ago and has gone through a number of twists and turns. It was originally a gold/saddle/auto combo GS and thats how the resto started, ground up original. But as time has progressed and things have changed I've now decided to build the GS I have always wanted, Black/red/4-speed. I picked up a complete GS 4-speed set up way back so now I'm looking for the T-10. Currently the body is off and the frame is painted. The plan for this week is to paint the underside of the floors. Vince By the way love you site. Know anyone who has a T-10?
Vince, email this guy onekrazy66@aol.com he has a buick gs t-10 out of a 65 skylark gs,tell him George with the `67 Buick gave you his email address. Thanks
Vince, That isn't my site, all that work belongs to Mr. Chris Horn. Looking forward to the pics! Mark
Hey Vince..ME TOO! I would love to see progresion pix of your 65. I too, have a 65 GS VERT..red, original black interior, but will be two-tone red ...4 speed...2X4 425, a/c, tilt, tons of power options and a bunch more....I am gathering stuff for a soon-to-begin resto. :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
WATCH OUT... for this fello..He HATES BUICK guys...he told me in his own words.."BUICK GUYS ARE CHEAP, Unlike Pontiac guys" If this is the same guy..he lives in Wisconsin, deals basically in Poncho parts, and has listed these parts in every ad available in every paper, Craigs list and musclecar magazine for well over a year...We have discussed this fello many times. You MAY have better luck with him than any of us has had, but I'm telling you..JUST BEWARE. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
I'm working on the pics. It looks like I'll get some free time this weekend. My GS is going in the oppisite direction than yours. LOL. I'm going black exterior, red intereior, 4-speed, manual steering, radio delete, A/C delete, back-up light deletes and power nothing. I'm running the 401 bored 30, lightly ported heads, bigger cam, headers, MSD ignition and a single 4-barrel. The only thing that's going to be on the front of the motor is the alt and the fan. I've to swapped front discs and a 3:55 posi in the rear. I'll be running the stock rally wheels with red lines in front and in back I will be running black stamp steelies with pie crust style cheater slicks. My goal is to make it look like a mid 60's street fighter. I've been collecting part for 10 years so almost everything is NOS, from the wheel well moldings to the rear view mirror. I've even got an NOS clock for the dash. Thanks Vince
Vince, sounds like a cool plan! Looking forward to seeing pics. I saw a '65 trans at Carlisle last year for $650. I might have his # somewhere. Yeah, the GTO guy.... Here's a link to the 6 '66 GS's he cut apart and tried to sell piece by piece:ball: http://www.gtoman.com/cars4sale-itemview.php?item=1193679583 On eBay, he goes by dsgtoman or gransportparts. Here are his items for sale: http://motors.search.ebay.com/ws/se...sid=m194&from=R9&ssPageName=STRK:MEFSRCH:SRCH He did have a trans listed last month for $350. I'd be VERY suspicious of a trans at that price...considering what he wants for most of other stuff. A Google search on him turned up some negative feedback: http://forums.performanceyears.com/forums/archive/index.php?t-396529.html I haven't personally deal with the guy, but anyone who cuts up GS's for profit shoud be :blast:
I was at Carlisle also this spring and saw a couple various T-10. If you have a number that would be great. Thanks Vince
I have the original super t-10 from a 65 skylark GS..... it's been in a wooden crate for about 10 + years. I bought a GS quite a few years back, but after the person before me ruined the frame by putting in a 455 olds, it was not worth my time. so I sold the car. I kept the t-10 thinking about putting it in my blown 62 nailhead.... but i found a date coded 1962 T-10 instead. Seems a little steep, but I want no less than $1500 for the unit. It's a one year/model only unit, date coded 1965 as well.... also have the original flywheel, but I am keeping that for my nailhead....
