cool, my engine took a **** this past sunday, so i'm scraping acround cash for rebuild and hard parts..so mine will be in the works sooner then later
http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=153264 I have no idea how much mine makes, but I'd be happy with those numbers!
I am deffinetely happy, like i said in my thread that you linked to, i bellieve it made 760 now, but ill know for sure later today. I just cant wait a couple years when i can build me a 532 stroker with the new block from ta with this procharger; ill have to switch to a F1 procharger but ill be looking for atleast 1000 to the wheels then, but thats all just a dream for now, heck, if i just had a good set of aluminum heads on my current motor i could pick up some more power, or just put some roller rockers on the heads i have now. Not to bad to only be 19 yrs. old huh?
i'll be ordering hershe race rods and pistons this week twinturbo kit will be comming soon along with marks chevy studd plate not sure on the singleplane intake going to have to order all the other shyt every other pay check or so..
Has your car or motor been on the dyno. Its always nice to see what other setups make. Buick + mild boost= WOW
Single plane intake will make the tuning much easier, just spend a little extra money now and save yourself time and headaches later. Never heard of hershe before, do they have a site, or what type of rods are they. I have crower and there rated to 850hp
Nope. The only numbers I have are when it ran a mid 11 in the 1/4 while blowing both head gaskets, and running 100 mph in the 1/8th while burning up a transmission. Hopefully the next trip down the track will be better!
At this point almost anything would be an improvement! And in case nobody's noticed from other posts I've made on the board, the turbo engine won't be in the green car. :Brow:
His turbo motor will be in a 73 Estate Wagon, and one of his friends is driving the dino; I cant remember whats going to be put in it though.
Jimmy has had his engine in the Green car while the turbo stuff has been sitting on the shelf. He just upgraded to aluminum heads and is considering a cam change. The turbo engine is in a '73 Estate wagon. The engine is moved back about 2" and up about 1/4" (plates under the frame pads). Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon it will have a ford 9" rear with a locker and 3.50 gears. The trans I wanted to use has problems so I used a switch pitch trans with a low ratio gear set. Compared to a standard trans, first will be like 3.90 rear gears, second will be like 3.70, drive will be 3.50, and over drive is 2.90. Did I mention it has a GearVendors overdrive? The AC has been removed (for now) and I installed a manual steering box. 70/30 shocks for the front and 50/50 shocks for the rear should help, and a set of sticky street tires out back. The biggest problem is the car has rust issues that I won't have time to fix correctly before the Nats, but hopefully I can make it look better (from a distance, anyway!). It won't be fast, but it will be big!
To any of the supercharged and turbo charged buicks. If yall all want to get together and park in the same area i think that would be kinda cool. Give everyone something to really look at when they come by our area. Ive allready teamed up with alan to park by them when i get there thursday. Im sure there will be more room around to park there. Boosted V8 buicks are like an evil little step shild. When were just cruising or sitting around we look normal. But as soon as we open up, just hold on cause all heLLL is going to break loose.
Alan does forced exhaust countuzzled: . I just got back home today with a barrel of methanol and a load of nitro. I will shoot for being the fastest single Nailhead on the planet which means a mid to high 180 or faster I hoperay: . If you don't see me just listen for me:laugh:
       I hate stupid a** shipping companies that cant take of their da** buisiness right. When they were picking up my motor to be taken down to texas it took them a week just to pick it up with the right truck. Now instead of having it on 3 day shipping which is susposed to be here today, they screwed that up and it will be here wednesday at the earliest. It doesnt look like ill be able to make it to the nats this year and that really sucks, especailly with my new setup and 800 hp, it would of been a good experience. :ball: :ball: :ball: :ball: :ball: :ball: :ball:
