Mike, that's for sure! I think somewhere in the comments for that vid, the guy says the car has a 570hp 327! And I thought it was a big block! :eek2:
The Maxton Mile, as seen in Hot Rod magazine. I sooo want to do this in a couple of years, perhaps even with the LeSabre. If not with a built motor, then perhaps a little bit of squeeze for the weekend. This is somebody's homebuilt rat rod that went 132mph. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/922PY32eJDc&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/922PY32eJDc&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> Pikes Peak Hill Climb with a street-driven Porsche, parts 1 & 2 (the short hisses come from the blowoff valve). <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nMN4zaclgrg&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nMN4zaclgrg&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fsGEdV8uKeM&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fsGEdV8uKeM&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

YOu can always rely on them for creating some funny s&&t.
The Lead Belt National is in Missouri. I went down there for my little sisters HS graduation and brought my bike for grins. I was riding the lead mine state orv "loop" and noticed the Enduro trail markers. The state dnr folks said the "race was tomorrow and the park would be closed". I wanted to ride both days and decided to drive down the road and see who was putting on the race. I was shocked to see all the big rigs there. FMF, Honda, KTM etc. So I signed up. They suckered me in to leave rider number A1A .. I left first, the next "line and rider" was 4 minutes behind me! Open C class 2005. TM300e. Lafferdy (spelling) lol, whipped past me two gears higher 1 1/2 hours later.. Those guys hall the mail. I do ride White cloud but not much, it is way too open and fast. Do you ride? We are always looking for more folks to go with.
I rode for years, nothing more than a C class rider, so mostly for fun. Started riding the skinnies after too many visits to the ER and titanium added to the ankle after a miss shift on the Gravity Cavity. No thumpers, still busting on a CR and it has sat in the garage for 2 years due to a new daughter being born, typical family slow down you know. Most of my cronnies sold their bikes to pay for births, so I have been solo for awhile. Definately up for riding and meeting some new folks. Email me anytime at iaconic616@gmail.com. Use to run Everette and Silver a lot too so I am well rounded I guess. Hopefully I will be ready for the rights of Spring this year even though they moved it out of Whiskey Creek. Let me know thanks.
