BUQUICK was what a friend called my car back in the mid 90s so I got it as a personalized plate and have kept it.
Here's a story about a plate you won't see in NY state: http://www.newsday.com/news/local/l...0,0,3418396.story?coll=ny_home_rail_headlines
Since 1953 , on his brand new Buick Super, my father had his and my mothers initials , and their combined ages as a custom plate. In Ohio, you can register your vehicle with any plate as a year of manufacture. Since he kept all of them, we put them on our vehicles and it's pretty neat rolling into a show with 3 right now, (might be 5 if they ever get them done ) cars withthe SAME PLATE !!!! My dad's 62 Wildcat , 69 Skylark Custom convertible and my 72 GS 455 Convert all have ME 52 on them. My brother and sister currently own a 70 GS 350 and a 71 Skylark , and if they get them together , they can put the plates on them for 5 exact same plates ,different years.
If any ones from Toronto, you've heard of Knob Hill Farms? There was this guy with a beat-up station wagon who would help you home with your groceries for a fee (of course) his plate read.. 3XWIFES
Mine on my 87 turbo limited is "QIK BUIK" I pronounce it "cue-ick bu-ick" (as in "Q"-ick), and I submitted for "NV" as in "ENVY" for my triple green 71 gs 455 convertible, but haven't got it approved yet.
