    Morning folks,

I need to request your prayers for our close friends from church Christie and Alex.

I just received a phone call that Christie's labor is being induced as I type this.

She is only 21 weeks into the labor so I'm sure you are aware of the gravity of this.

Additionally Christie has MS so these are additonal concerns for mother as well as child.

This was a big decision for them to proceed with this pregnancy but she and her husband have been at peace that Gods will, will be done prior to this.

That was then and this is now and I just pray that God will comfort and strengthen them no matter the outcome.

If it is Gods will that Christie and her child come out of this ok, I pray for the doctors and that they might be guided in wisdom and actions.

    Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

    Hi Guys,

I just thought I'd attach this update to the original post.

Alex and Christie buried there son yesterday. He was just born to soon to make it.

They did get to see, and hold him, and named him Jackson.

I could not even believe both Alex and Christie's strength as they both were at our Sunday school ,church, and the classes for the children Sunday evening.

Christie did speak to our class and witnessed the strength and faith she has in God today.

In the past she said when anything tramatic happened in their life she would go within herself, bottle up the anger, and frustrations, and be depressed for long, long, periods.

She told us how her relationship with God has changed that way of reacting, and how they are relying on Him (God) rather then themselves and He has granted them peace.

No words were necessary after class but we definitely gave both of them long hugs and a few tears. As weird as it sounds though my tears felt more like tears of joy that Gods was so obviously with them.

Anyhow that is the update, Thank You for your prayers.

If you don't mind, please keep us in your prayers as the hurricane approaches.

    Your brother in Christ,

    John

John - Sorry to hear the baby didn't make it.:ball:

It sounds like they are quite an example of trusting in the Lord! :TU: Although God never promised to eliminate all our troubles...He does promise to get us thru them!!:bglasses: It's great to see their strength and trust shining thru!!:bglasses:

Since she still has MS, I hope all of us will continue to remember them in prayer.

John - My youngest brother is down in VA Beach, attending Regent University Law School...so, I'll be praying for everyong in the path of that hurricane!!:TU:

I'm glad to hear that it's down to 105mph...of course, it could pick up speed once it gets closer.:Do No:

I'm reminded of David right now. He pleaded with God while fasting etc for seven days for his and Bethsheba's child to get well. When he died, David got cleaned up and went back to work as usual. Then there was Davids unrepentant older son Absolom. He died in his sin and David mourned and mourned. Why? David, a man of God, new his baby was with God. Absolom lived and died unrepentant and sinful. David new were he went. The children are Gods elect. There is much to be thankful for, even though it's tragic to us. First is that the child is with Christ in paradise. Second is that there WILL be a reunion! This life is a tiny little blip that won't even rate compared to eternity. Yeah, I know its unimaginally hard for them right now, but forever is gonna be great! I'll be praying for youns.

    Thanks

Thanks for the kind words and your prayers guys.

The biggest thing facing Christie right now is her white blood count is very low and she will have to go through a tranfusion if it doesn't return to a minimum number.

What's that verse about "take my yoke (ox yoke) for the load is light" and it goes on to say that God will never give us more than we can bear?

Anyhow it appears they are in the yoke next to God and He is leading their "team" and bearing the lions share of the load.

    Praise God

    :TU:
