Dad and I ate a crave case on a trip home from West Virginia back to Indiana once. I think you could say neither of us liked riding with either of us.

For you folks coming from the southeast and traveling on I-24 between Chattanooga and Nashville, if you are looking for a great burger I highly recommend Jiffy Burger in Manchester, TN.

Montana Grille, like others have mentioned. We stopped in there for dinner last year, good food, they have good Jalapeno Cornbread that they bring out to the table, nice scoop butter right in the middle. Damn, now I'm getting hungry.

Thanks to Greg for listing some of the good local joints with links. Thought I'd bump this up so it's easier to find if anyone wants the information.

Brian, Thanks for the burger info. That will be a spot I will look for in the future.

Stopped there not long ago. This is the Bonnaroo burger with a side of tots.

Of the places posted by Greg, I went to Lisa’s and Local Taco. Both were very good.

Jim and Beamer’s ‘Lowcountry Boil’ (Frogmore Stew to folks from Chas’ton) was excellent, as were the Hemkers’ brats! There were ribs, burgers, tater salad, dogs, fruit, storebought and homemade cookies (the chocolate chip ones were awesome), all in the ‘BSA Cafe’. Between that, campground chili and more tater salad, and the cheddar and curds the Wisconsin folks had, there was some great, budget friendly eating this week! (Plus Teresa’s breakfast!)
