Wasn't there no such thing as a Buick engine built after 80-81???

The 3.8 or 3800 searies did live but it was a corp engine that came in everything.

Might want to clarfyi what GM corp engines qualify as a Buick.
The rover engines would be similar. Based on a Buick like the 3800 searies GM corp engines?

Might get sticky if ya don't make it 100% clear what you consider is a Buick engine and what is not after 1980 when Buick was assimilated.

    [stiring the pot ;) ]

I don't understand why it seems so difficult if it is a BUICK ENGINE MADE BY BUICK than it can be installed in any damn american car made within the years shown. v-6 turbo in a fox body mustangs OK and if you have a camaro with a nitrous assisted super-charged turboed 350 BUICK bring that some bitch and run. no corp. engines no jeep engines no chevy's just buick simple just buick engines. Sorry if I seem short on this but this horse has been beat till it was liquid on the v-6 boards.

There is no such thing as a Buick engine after 1980, they are all corp made???
Would a 4th gen Fbody with a factory 3800 count???

Not yellow do it Chicago style full 1320 quit the sissy stuff and run the whole quarter are cars are set fot the quarter. Let that blue four link regal in the class it is the same as a ladder bar. If i get my new motor i guarantee i will run the class full weight and all. But loosen the rules and watch what happens.

It doesn't has to come factory with a Buick motor. If you take any 4 gen Fbody and put any Buick 3800, 350, 455 that fits the rules, it counts. Understood it was "corperate" after 1980 but originally was BUICK and was consider a Buick based motor by everyone. Yes, it counts and yes a Turbo TA can run.

I see how it is, you wait all this time, don't put any input in, wait to the rules get finalized so you have an excuse why you can't run.......:Dou:

Don't worry, Bobb said he'll go ahead take care of you during T&T and put you back on the trailer before qualifying so you don't have to worry about it.....

Rick i have made the same point for three years. Me and Bobb speak often and he already know how i feel. We have went through this before most cars don't fit that setup but a few. I like both of your cars and respect you two for what you build. You cant ask people who don't feel like the stand a chance to get in and go out in first round. How many cars in this class can go 8s? I only know two care to take a guess. I know another car that would blend in with you two care to take a guess who. Let it in make at least a three car field. Oh and as far as knocking me and in qualifying :blast: Bring it I got more nitrous bottles than time so i will turn it all on and show you what a real blast is through the whole 1320:bla: I think im going to like this class:beer Ill take care of Bobb myself he still working on leaving on green lights:laugh:

The whole reason for looking at 1/8 mile is so cars that aren't in the 8's can have a chance. one screw up in the first sixty hands a slower car a win pretty fast. as far as you and me how did I get sucked into this:TU: I just mind my own business and look what happens:Do No: . You and I need to talk I heard a story and need to confirm the info I recieved somthing to do with a torn up slip:TU: :TU: :TU: . but this is not the place. sound like we might get a few v-6 guy's to play and I know of at least one guy that says hes going to try to NOS a 350 in a fox body stang that will come in at the minimum on the rules. lets just get some cars together and race see what shkes out of it.

    Well Guys,

Looks like the banter has started.

I am the guy that has the Fox Stang. Was planning on my 540 going in it until, this class started. Bobb and I spoke about my SBB and a light car, having a chance.

My question is who is gonna play?

Looking for some good input and competion.

Hopefully see some Fast cars in the field.

    Thanks
    John

That "Kill Stang" should fly at #2600.:idea2: I sold a cherry 50k miles '78 Fairmont 6 month back that would have been a good fit for this class.

Also, I am getting rid of a 4130 Moly K frame for a fox body ($135) if you do not have one yet and need more room for a SBB.
