I've been told that an air ride kit made for a 58-64 X-frame Chevy (like a Bel Air) would fit my '61 Lesabre, as the chassis are the same... Can anyone confirm this?

Well according to them, they are definitely not the same. Damn!

Like Chris mine was done by Boris also. here's what I am running.

Front's are Airride Shockwaves I couldn't give you a model number as I have never had them out
Rears are Slam Specialities RE-7. I popped one of the original Firestones after the exhaust rubbed on the bag for 6 months without me realising. So I replaced both with SS RE-7's.

I have a large tank, couldn't tell you the size but it's big. It would be at least 3 gallon.

    I run twin Vi-Air compressors.

All connectors are snap in. When I got the car the bags leaked, slowly but they leaked, so I replaced all the fittings and relocated the tank up to the spare wheel area in behind the rear seat.

Mines all pretty much bolt in. As long as you have mounting plates are pretty solid thikness (I'm running 6mm plate upper and lower on the front and 3mm plate at bottom of rears) you'll have trouble free coolness.

Here is mine, I am guessing the equipment is comparable to Chris's blue car. IIRC, his car was built a couple of years before mine.
