Not Buick specific, but Chicagoland GSCA Chapter will have a display at the World of Wheels this year, at McCormick Place, Jan. 30 thru Feb. 1. Mostly turbo buicks, but we do have a couple non-turbo - an early 60's Skylark and an early 70's GS. Most of the big block cars must be tucked inside for the winter. If you go, stop by and say hi! KC as well! Well, it won't be quite as big, but we will have a small display the weekend of Feb. 14th at the KC World of Wheels. 2 GSX's and a 65 GS convertible. Maybe if all goes well, we can get more next year. Jeff
Yes Shari, it will be the first. We had to finagle our way in just to get 3 spots, as we had more cars lined up. Hopefully we can build up a relationshipp with these people to gain a little more pull next time. Any pointers you can give us? Jeff
First of all, get to know the guy(s) in charge. Offer to help out, if need be. The guy in charge of Chicago's is a great guy that lives near us. We've tried to get to know him better - after all, he is a car guy, too! So that's helps that he can call us by name. Does your WOW have a "club challenge"? Chicago's does, although our little display is nothing compared to the big buck clubs. Clubs get more spaces, and can get in earlier in the day on "drive in" day. Clubs also get a break on electric hook-ups, too. I'm heading out to it now, so I'll see how it goes. Later, ShariB
