Got too kills tonite. 1st one was a V-6 Camaro that some kid thought was fast. Greg and I were on our way out to our oldest brothers for dinner. We're crusing up hwy 275 towards Valley at about 65 when this kid tries to play. Well I floor it and shift down into 2nd and SMOKED HIM. I let off at around 120 so that I could exit and he does the ricer flyby. 2nd one was a v-8 S-10. I pull up beside him at a stoplight not really even thinking about playing. Light turns green and he gasses hard enough to spin his tires a little , so I lay on the gas. We were running pretty even until he had to shift, I was gone from there on. We get to the next light and he gives me the :TU: . He knew he had been beat and had enough respect to accept it.
Nice job! I raced a newer not-stock Mistubishi 3000GT on the highway Sat. night...gave him a few chances from about 70mph...downshifted to 2nd and just left him standing still just about, I only took it to about 90 cause I left him so bad every time. He tried about 3 times but was never even close. When I finally pulled off him and his friends hung out the windows and wanted to know what I had in my "thing" so I told him "it's just a Buick 400" -Andy 69 Sport Wagon 400 (now 455 hiding under 400 emblems/decals)
I'll be on the hunt of Friday night over at the local Sonic car cruise. There are some meaty cars that go over there....I'd like to see how I measure up with the stock 455....which has quite a punch.
Cool. What is the deal with that Century? Does it have a 4bbl and dual exhaust? Those cars can actually be fairly quick bone stock. Years ago my brother had a 73 Regal..
when I was racing the Camaro and I hit 120 I said "well thats 120. Good enough for me" and Greg is like holy ____ that was 120 that was so smooth. Now he knows why we like our Buicks. Think I'll need to put "S10KILR" on the plates.
Sounds like a great combination. I'd bet at least one of those guys didn't even know what kind of car it was that just smoked them!
