these forged pistons have 6 passes on them and maybe 2000 street miles. they are hanging off of legit 73 455 Pontiac super duty rods.

20cc dish rings included. these could be cleaned up and dropped in.

the rods have been modified to fit within the buick specs- narrowed on the big end and the pin end was enlarged to accept a stock buick pin. the benefit to the Pontiac rod is its .025 longer than the stock buick rod. it doesn't require as much of a deck cut to achieve a zero deck. plus the super duty rods are a very rugged forged piece with 7/16" bolts. quite a bit tougher than the stock buick rod.

these rods and pistons are all weight matched, you're engine guy would only need to match the crank when balancing if you choose to do that.

the bad news- due to operator error and a miscue with the rev limiter the number 6 rod spun a bearing. so it will need resized and the number 5 rod will need checked.

asking 450 for the lot. that's what i paid for the pistons alone. your getting super duty rods and piston rings for free at that price.

    thanks

Interested in the rods. Are they for pressed or floating pin?

400 is the bottom line on this set. I'll save them for a rainy day otherwise.

The spun rod may not be salvageable...

Im not looking to separate at this time. The rods are press fit.

Bump. I still have these. One piston has some water damage but would clean up easy enough with a scotch brite pad.

    Make me a reasonable offer.
