Does the 0593 have any significance?

Its not real important, just curious to its meaning

    BOnoP,
Many of the body parts, especially on buicks, include a "body style" number instead of a part number. The panel between the rear window and trunk lid comes to mind. The other pieces often carry some type of part number, which is what the "0593" number probably is.

The other number "W11" would decode as "W", which would ID either the subcontractor or an "area" where the parts were made at Fisher Body, and the "11" is the week the part was built.

If you have my date code book it goes into the body part date codes on page 35. (It also has date codes for hundreds of other parts, hint hint...........)

I really do need one of those date code books, I guess I'll have to purchase one.

Im highjacking my own thread.........I saw in an add in an old issue of BOP magazine where you were making the 71 hood grilles, is this still the case?

    And thanks for the help
