How does the windshield chrome come off on a 70 Skylark convertible? We need to take our windshield out and dont want to tear up the chrome. Thanks! :beer
Easier done than explained. Remove the bottom windshield chrome, screws across the bottom. On the inside of the door (A pillar), you have to remove the weather stripping, under it remove the screws and remove that channel. Now, remove the screws holding the stainless cover. Last, remove the top chrome strip. You need a special tool, I just bought one at NAPA ($12.00). It slides under the chrome and hooks the retainer. That's it. I did put a little chip in the windsheild with the tool, take your time. Rich
