Now that I have the rear Wilwood disc brake setup ordered.I did some research and found out the OEM cables for the stock 8.5 wont be able to be used. I just ordered a Wilwood universal e brake cable kit..Doesn't look too terrible, but some mods are needed. Has anyone used this setup on their car? My car is a70 Skylark converted to an 8.5 rear. Next up will be a new Wilwood master cylinder and possibly Steel braided brake hoses.

What setup did you order for your brakes, a few years ago they didn't have a bolt on kit for our 8.5 with bolt in axles. The did for c-clip

I hope it works out, I believe the 8.5 has a different axle offset than the 8.2. But a quick message to monza or Brian trick will answer that..........I'm pretty sure when my axles got order for my 8.5 that was 3" not 2.75

That's the kit I used, but I used my original front cable. It eliminates using the front clevis and it looks cleaner. Using the original front cable requires drilling out the center hole in the block that connects all of the cables together. The front cable now slides through the block with the adjusting nut on the rear of the block which makes it easier to adjust the cable because nothing has to be disconnected for adjustment.
