So i was going to finally install my front brakes today that are wilwood dynalite 4 piston calipers, when i was stoped dead in my tracks by 1 bolt.

It is the top bolt on the spindle, for those of you running this set up it is quite a large bolt with fine threads, i read threw the directions 3 times to make sure i was reading them right. There is a note in them that says on 64-67 spindles that this top hole has to be redrill and taped (it is a blind hole so it has to be a drill press to do it or a milling machine so much fun!).

First off my car is a 1971!
Second the note also says i have to drill out the other hole for the bracket, but for some reason it is already to size.

To remedy this situation (ans because i have access to CNC machines) I'm going to look into designing a "custom" bolt that will fit the threads i already have and let me use the bracket at the same time.

    WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU!

If the design works, in theory you could run new brakes but still be able to switch back to a stock setup.

    Questions comments?

Strange when i did mine, some years back, i never ran into that problem with my 65. It all bolted up. Must be differences between kits. Good luck.
