I didn't need more fuel when I put the 510 cam in I had stock lines for a 350 and I had no trouble with that Carter pump

Put that Holley on and it will rock the 350 is not a 455 it just does not need as much gas.

Plus how do you know it needs more gas at 4- 4.5k Does it nose down at that point or does it just give up on pulling. Do you have plenty of oil pressure at that point I have 70 when I am at that rpm.

If you are worried about the sock being plugged up what I did was put the air hose on the gas line and blew the gas back to the tank to blow the crap off the screen if there was anything there. I ran low pressure on the hose so it would not blow the lines off. I could hear the air in the tank and stopped there.

When I did take the tank off 10 years later after motor rebuild I put in an elec pump and the sock was smashed but would still pull fuel. I put in all new parts and a new tank after the idiots that was supposed to clean the tank lost it and had to buy me a new one. BTW that old tank was completely clean inside and my car sat for about 3 1/2 years in the mid 80's with old gas in it.

I plan getting there, if & a big if it opens....
Covud restrictions up here had the track shut down all last year, but here's hoping it opens up in May. Need a time slip to see how the need turbo motor is compared to the old turd that ran 8.0 in the 1/8th mile at 86.65 mph with a crappy 1.979 60 ft.....
I know the new set up is alot faster.....
We will see what it does at 8 lbs of boost, then turn up the wick to 12 lbs.

Feels like a beast. Put plenty of miles on it last fall, almost time for her to come out of hibernation..... Only thing I should have done was switched the valve springs on those ported heads....... She won't rev over 6300-6400 rpm

likely better to keep it at 6000 I would think... and more boost.
