Who can repair a WG wheel?

I had a wheel come loose today on my GS. Actually, it came off the car as I was pulling over to check it.
The lug holes have been, as we would say around here, wallored out.
Does any one know of any companies that might be able to repair this? I have used Stockton Wheel to straighten a wheel before with good results. Sent an inquiry through their web site about repairing this wheel. I was hoping to find someone closer.

I do have another wheel that I can use, but the chrome finish is not in as good condition as the damaged wheel.

    Thanks.

I've already stuck it back on. The one I can use until I see about repairing this one is WG. 15 inch wheels.

Edited the title, to help avoid confusion. Thanks for pointing it out.

If it were mine and I was going to try and make a repair I would TIG around the hole then chamfer the weld repair to the correct angle. You could regrind a drill bit to get the correct angle.

You can probably have the center hub cut out of the rim and have another center welded in.

Any 1970 14” or 15” chrome wheel will have the “flat” hubs, so if you can find a 1970 14” rim you can harvest the center out of it and save the rim out of the 15” wheel.

Now I have no idea what it would cost to do this, but if you have a real 1970 WG rim it can be saved.

Thanks for the suggestions. There is no one local to me that I would trust to handle the job. Was hoping to at least find a reputable company on this side of the Mississippi. I'll wait and see if Stockton replies. Might be simpler to just get my "unattractive" wheel rechromed/restored.

Well whatever you do, do not throw away the original wheel. I am sure someone here would want it.

Unfortunately I think it's toast. A welded rim will not pass most, if not all, state inspections. With that much weld needed I'm sure the face of the wheel would be warped anyway.

Lou, are the wheels you picked up '70's?

I picked up 4 of the big car wheels . 5 X 5 . 2 of them are 895's and 2 of them are 853 's . The 853's have the register rings in them and are 66-70 with or without disc breaks . The 895's are 71- up . Still have more to get . probably this week .

You could move the wheel to the trunk as a spare if you have a full set (5).

It's not that I don't have extra wheels. The damaged wheel has the nicest chrome. So, I'd like to fix the damaged wheel, or find a trustworthy source to re-chrome/restore my extra wheels.
