Will be bringing my 1973 GS 455 F.A.S.T. Factory Stock car to run in BSA. Have brought the car numerous times since 2006.
I'd really like to bring mine, but being a prostreet, even getting a flat tire would be an issue. If something broke on my car, it would be almost impossible to locate parts. Plus, at 9-10 mpg, I'd be looking at $600 in gas alone.
At this point it’s 50/50. Working through my list and have to decide what to do about the drag radials. Looks to be a tad over 300 miles.
Those trunks will hold two tires,...mount some street rubber then get the Dr's mounted in BG,..done that several times

600 dollar fuel bill I hope mine stays under 2500 in fuel this year. But well worth it as next year is not promised and it will definitely cost more overall next year. John jr
The $600 fuel bill isn't the main reason I'm not driving my car 900 miles. Imagine driving your Skyhawk and something breaks or you get a flat on the road many miles from home. Where would you get parts or a tire? How much is a 450 mile tow?
I can understand but we all take the chance of things going badly on these extended drives, but hey, parts stores are everywhere and these cars are easy to fix. Having a long weekend of fun with our cars is what it’s all about right?
I doubt that I could get any parts for my car at any local or chain parts stores except Summit or Jegs. Where would I find a 31x18.5-15 tire?
