So I am thinking of weight loss and a pin on hood for the Wagon. Which manufacturer is the best choice ? VFN , Glasstek or another.
comments and the reasons would be most appreciated. Thanks Bret

I love my vfn for my 72, wish I had gotten the bolt on version......its diamentally large and hard to handle by 1 person

Had a vfn on our 69. Bolt on model. Was very happy with the finish as it did not need much work. Now we have a pin on vfn on the 72. Finish looks good on that one too.

I myself would use the stock hood,..use 1/2in moly tube and build a skeleton for it,... you'll be all but even with a glass hood,...no paint work,..fit as does now and generally be better,..imo

If you can weld this is free also,..now of you're after more clearance or getting cool air in there then obviously you will be limited to a stage 2,...or I think a correctly assembled Plexi scoop on the flat stocker would look badass if done right

I think mine was VFN , light weight and strong , cowl bump added later . Hood flew
off @ 125 and only broke the corner. Coasted to the ground like a stealth jet . LOL

I had a VFN lift off on mine. It is a pin on stock version with an unknown brand scoop bolted on. (Its for sale BTW) Grandma 001.jpg
