I recently got a 1960 lesabre, which runs fine, but it has a lot electrical problems. The headlights, front left blinker, and dash light works. Their seems to be a short in the start button, and no othe electrical components work. No brake lights, brights, the other 3 blinkers, no tail lights and so on. Im really not good with electrical stuff, and was wondering what steps should I take to diagnose and repair these problems.

Corrosion at the grounds/light sockets would be a good start.

Also replacement harnesses are available. Which would actually make the job easier as for the most part is plug & play.
