Guys I need to buy a fuel pump for a Buick 350. What pump do you recommend. I Called Tim at ta performance and they do not have one. Tim was a great guy and was so helpful.
and with AC ( return line , extra fitting on pump ) and without AC ( 2 fittings ) - dif part numbers . and I popped into summit for a sec , they have some basic street/cruise buick replacement pumps listed . $20 - $25.00 . you will want to do your homework on part numbers/applications before ordering any from one of the big stores online . 455 NOT the same . and sometimes their computer info kinda lumps chevy , buick , Pontiac , olds etc into one category . a lot of that comes from GM's mid 70's engine swap merry-go-round . confusing .
I just walked into a few auto parts stores & asked, while on a USA road trip. Got lucky at O'Reillys in Pueblo CO. Stuck in in my bag & hoped it was the right one. Got back home to Australia & fitted it. All good. Bottom line is that if a new-to-Buicks Aussie can find one over the counter, its not a problem. At least not 3 years ago.
Any decent auto parts store can get you fixed up. If the counter person has difficulty in finding your part, just walk out. This is in no way a rare part.
I have a high compression engine bored .60 over with a performance cam. It has a ta performance Intake with a rebuilt 4 barrel carb. I bought a stock fuel pump from summit but it is leaking. It was a stock one but the fuel inlet on the bottom bends 90 degrees and it looked like it would put a kink in my fuel line and was going to see I they would replace it but I am nervous t is not the best fit.
