where is the top switch on a 69 skylark?

    I cant find it for the life of me. the dash does not have any spot for it & I know it has a power top

    ...likely someone replaced all/part of dash with one from non-convertible...:Do No: Not familiar w/'69s, but on 70-72s, that insert will vary depending on option(s)...convertible top switch, rear defogger, cruise control, etc...

    Wires and connector for top switch may still be there behind dash...

    Same switch and panel was used on the Sportwagon with the power rear window. One is in a local old-school junk-yard; don't remember if the panel has yet been salvaged. Can look and see next week, if desired. I assume that you have the rear hydraulic system in the trunk...if not, you may have one of the non power top cars (never heard of a BUICK that was not power top, but you never know...). In that case you would probably need to get an aftermarket power conversion. The company that offers this is Hydro-E-lectric; not cheap at $619.
