My next project is a 9" axle and I want to know how well wheelie bars will work on a stock style suspension. I am talking about an 85 Regal body.

I might as well weld the brackets on now if I'm going to do it.

What type of bars work best? solid or sprung?

No problem on a stock suspension It's just like any other suspension. My buddys muskrat went a 1.26 60ft on a stock suspension with solid wheelie bar.If you are going to tune the suspesion with the bar a spring loaded bar is easier to tune.I myself like solids W bars but my guys set the cars up to where they barely hit the bars.
I think if you are not used to dealing with a car that likes to be on the bumper a good tubular spring loaded bar is what you want.

    Jeff,

I didn't have too much trouble picking up the front end with the stock suspension. If the new stuff works as well as I think it will.... I don't want to have a that problem. While I'm building a 9" I might as well have Tim do the bars at the same time. If I don't need them, they can stay in the trailer.
