Whats this wire??

    Im almost embarrassed asking this as I pride myself of knowing the wiring on these cars blindfolded, but I cant place this one!

    Comes out of the engine harness right under the regulator. It's black with a red tracer. Probably 28" long or so. What is it and where does it go??

    And yes Larry, I have the service manual!! :D:D:D

    Which car is the harness in? Original harness?

    1970 GSX. Aftermarket harness. Looks like an M&H

    Jason,

    It is for the kick down. Not used on the 4 speed cars buy is included in the repro harness.

    Makes sense. What do you think I should do with it? Im debaring on just cutting it

    So my 350 with a turbo 350 has this same wire that doesn't attach to anything. Never could find it in the service manual either. I decided it was installed simply to screw with Jason.

    Well I have been calling Jason Slim, mostly because he is about 135 lbs. soaking wet, but if you want, I can call you Slim-Fritzin if it makes you feel better.:D:D

    I am with ya brother! When our dog & cat walked across the scale at the almost the exact same instant I was embarrassed at numbers like that.

    Move that wire around though…..might have a time sensitive feed trough solenoid senor opener.
    Seen stranger stuff but mainly in the mirror :confused:
