    Hey all,

I finally brought a new Buick project home and I can drive her as soon as I figure out these damn brake lights.

I have power to the new brake switch and it is passing 12V properly when actuated. I have also hooked up a separate battery and tested the flat body cable (I can make each brake light come on manually). The only thing left according to the schematic is the direction signal switch behind the steering wheel. What is going to be waiting for me in there? Are there common problems or contacts I can expect to find and clean?

It sounds like this is not your problem, but I seem to recall the key had to be in the on position for the brake lights to work. I’ve grafted in an aftermarket fuse box so mine is different from original.

I think I have one loose at my garage. Do the turn signals work?

No, it seems like everything that runs through it is out. Turn signals, marker lights and brakes.
