    So I have 2 HLY 750 DP carbs. Both are 4779 series (6 and 9). And i really want a Holley 950HP or a mighty Demon 850 ($$$$)

One of them i have almost as much invested as what they cost new. The other one I just aquired.

Rather than buying a new 950HP im trying to recover the investment by selling these two. However, I got to thinking, what is needed to convert a carb into a 950 HP?

Main body? Base Plate? If the cost is less than half of what a new 950HP costs, that might be a viable route for me.

yep, main body and base plate,, and possibly the metering block.... power valve ect.... Azeem, you need to get on the holley tech line and let them guide you thru this thing.... but i think that it can be done.....

Just about everything is different between the old 47** series carbs and the HP series. They feature different baseplates, main bodies and metering blocks. Component interchangability is one thing, but the fuctionality of the parts is another.

I thought the main body was different on the 950 too.
