What finish is this bucket seat part supposed to be?

    The bracket that the bucket seat strap is connected to. I'm gonna guess bare steel. This piece-

    Jason,
    From what I have seen most of the seat parts were bare steel. Probably had some light stamping oil on those parts.

    Lol...
    You would think! I assume that these brackets had gotten surface rust on them as they were brush painted black!

    I took them off the car and soaked thrm in lacquer thinner. The black literally melted off in seconds. Cleaned them up and put it back together. They look untouched. I should of taken a before pic because they looked like ass.

    And I couldn't resist refinishing the seat backs while they were out. Another black plastic part that had a gray tinge to it. They're not perfect but look a hellova lot better.
