After a day of cleaning and throwing stuff out to make room for the next project I messed around with the T hawk a bit. Started making plans for a throttle stop and changed the shaft seal on the peterson oil pump. Jim and I had nicked it the evening before the dyno session and there was no way to get a replacement in time so we ran it with a makeshift catch can suspended under the pulley. In the vids you can see it hanging and oil streaming into it. Think the dyno operator used up a entire can of brake clean mopping the floor between runs. https://youtube.com/shorts/I9qne7u88LE?feature=share
Had to go to the store to pick up a couple things for a cook out we are going to. It's pretty nice out today, so I took the GS400. We'll probably take it to the cook out too.
All my glass and weatherstrip attached/installed on the car. That gets rid of all kinds of garage clutter AND makes the car better. Win/win
Awesome! Definitely win/win Yes... unfortunately something else ends up there at some point, when there is supposed to be a Jeep Grand Cherokee there... Well... I have the TA adjustable regulator, so yes it does. I'm not sure you can do that with the stock one. When swapping the spring, I turned the adjuster in until I felt a little resistance and locked it down there. That adjuster is only designed to increase the oil pressure by putting pressure on the spring. You cannot back it off to decrease it. By swapping the spring to the orange one, it put the oil pressure right where I wanted it to be. Right now it's 30-35 psi at idle, at 180F, after driving for a while, and goes up to about 70 psi when you're on it hard.
I was really nice out today, with no rain in the forecast, so I also took the GS400 to my dentist appointment this morning. Supposed to be rainy for a while, after today. Thought I would get in all the driving I can.
