Hello all. Fairly new to V8Buick. I purchased a replacement well liner for my 69 GS400 convertible. Dumb question but how is that installed/removed ? Looking for tips before I get started. Thanks

If you don't know, then you probably don't want to mess with it. it's a good size job that will take you hours. The short story is, you need to unbolt the trim stick on both sides, put the whole rear of the top on top of the trunk, remove the top staples, remove the rear window staples. Remove the liner staples...etc. If the liner you bought is just plain vinyl, you should buy a better liner, too. Because you don't want to have to do it again or pay somebody to do it again.

I just did the top on my '64. I don't know how much different it is from yours but if I was going to change my well liner her's what I would do:
    1) unclip the top from the windshield
    2) remove the rear seats and unscrew the well liner at the leading edge.
    3) unbolt the trim sticks.
    4) cut off the old well liner right at the bottom of the trim sticks.
    5) put a coating of silicone all along the edge of the top where the staples are on the trim sticks.
    6) staple on your new well liner before the silicone sets.
    7) bolt the trim sticks back in
    8) fasten the leading edges of the well liner.
    9) reinstall rear seats.
