Water temp gauge location

    Trying to install a water temp gauge in buick 455..... got the gauge in the car ran PROBE through firewall....now where do I plug it in? It didnt have one unit previously...has a edlebrock performer buick 455 manifold.

    There are 3 large openings, 1/2 NPT, two in the front, on either side of the thermostat, and one on the passenger side rear of the intake. Any of them will work.

    The one closet to the thermostat housing is preferred location. But as mentioned any one of the three can be used.

    I run mine on the DS hole that way I can leave the PS stock idiot light intact... The rear one for my car is for the heater hose.

    That’s how I have mine set up, I also changed the idiot light sender to a 225* one. The original one turns the light on at around 260* which has probably already caused damage.
