I know this part is 1970 only but I'm not sure what it looks like. As the title states, it's not a functioning cowl induction hood. Does anyone have a picture and better yet a good lead on one? Thanks in advance! :TU:
I checked out a few of those places but came up empty. I'm told the air cleaner base is 70 only and didn't see that particular part listed anywhere. http://www.ebay.com/itm/70-CHEVELLE...50-L34-AIR-CLEANER-BASE-6485239-/121453843075
As Korrie mentioned, they are readily available. This is what it looks like, just add the decals: http://www.ss396.com/chevelle/ATE-3907.html The best online resource for Chevelle info is Team Chevelle http://www.chevelles.com/forums/
I was under the impression that it had a snorkel and was specific only to the 396/350 horse model? Thanks for the links!
I went back into my photos from some of the Chevell-a-Brations and grabbed photos of a couple of '70 SS396 350 hp cars to share. The blue car is an unrestored example with original paint and top. The white car is a concours restored example. Note that both cars are like the one your friend has without the D88 option for stripes.
That's awesome! Thank you, sir. So, I'm assuming that the base is the different part from the other years. At least that's what I've found during my research.
