There is a rare 65 GS 4spd convertible in the cars for sale section that needs finishing and sounds like a good deal seeing the expensive hard work is done.
Exactly what I was going to suggest. I've read through that thread a few times. If I was in a position to, I'd be seriously considering that car. He seems more concerned that it go to a good home & get completed (not that much left to do really) than w/getting every nickel out of it. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?t...speed-convertible-restoration-project.353769/
No convertibles. I am finishing a rotisserie frame off , 20 % left to do, body and frame media blast, modernized a little, fuel injection, Wilwood discs, better susupension, etc, of a 67 Skylark. Actually the second frame off, first done in senior year of dental school 1982, dad helped and just recently passed. Is interest from Classic Car Magazine to do an article. Story and pictures rings of more than "nuts and bolts". Would like to have the 67 GS, quality done or I'll do it. Would match nicely to the little sister Skylark. Or a 65'.
I have a 67 CAGS that was starting a restoration. Was stopped at adding trunk pans. Most trim missing but sheet metal all there. Sell it for $3000.
The car is stored in my Az garage. Have a lot of the parts for it as was starting to restore it but decided one CA GS was enough. My first one is what started my love of Buicks.
Im in Rapid City South, Dakota and this car is now in Kileen ,Texas. it is a very nice car. I've seen and drove in it myself. it has the 2x4 set and is a very nice car. I'm passing this along for the son of the owner who has passed away. https://www.facebook.com/groups/149...ghtspeed_banner&referralCode=messenger_banner
No I did not. I was very interested, agreed to the seller's sale amount without any negotiating but could not get the seller to send the necessary pics and info I wanted to proceed with the transaction. I understand it was sold to another buyer. If that buyer see this thread and is interested in flipping the car, please contact me. I am still looking for a 67 GS or a 65 GS....preferably a quality car or already 10o % restored up to concours level. The price is less of a concern. lamarr weese 304-823-3186
I tried to buy the Reynolds Buick, but there was not an appropriate title or necessary paperwork from the seller, to accomplish the transaction to get it titled, licensed, insured, street legal.
Nice! A 67' is the goal. Restored a 67 Skylark, twice, rotessorie, real good story with it, Classic cars expressed interest in a story. A 67 GS would match nicely and I am too old and inpatient to do another quality resto, so I could pay up for something really special.
