Wanted: 1965-67 Skylark & GS long automatic console shifter slider retainer. This is the press-on plastic strips that holder the shifter slider in place. Please let me know what you have. Thanks!
I used some 1/4" black irrigation tubing on mine. I just cut down side one of the tube and then cut the slits in it and pressed it on with a bit of hot glue to hold it. It works but isn't perfect.
I need to find a few of those myself or figure out how to make some that work well. Any kind of flat stuff you use just doesn't provide the upward pressure on the slider. I have made about 9 of the shifter sliders (from a black plastic trash can) which work well but missing one of the retainers. Seems a 3-D printer might work but not sure how flexible the material is and I don't have a printer... Steve
