I have the wrong cap on my GS 455 Survivor, I would like a driver quality one please. As you can see, this is wrong. Also need hose clamps that are tower type and old, rusty is ok!

No, unless it’s the same as ‘72?

What size Tower hose clamps you need? and how many. I have some of different sizes and I also have a radiator cap. Bruno.

I need all the clamps that go on a 455. So 6 for heater hoses and by-pass, and the 4 big ones for the radiator upper and
    Lower hoses.

Did they still use the tower style in 73?

    yes they did Max.
Bruce, a lot of the 72 ones are the same. I got a kit from Todd. That's going to be as close as possible, unless you find some used ones.

Are the heater hose clamps for that year the tower clamps? If so, find out which size because I have a bag full of smaller, original Wittek tower clamps here.

That radiator cap is a 15-18 psi which may be too high. Buick installed 15 psi caps on on their vehicles (at least 68-72, as I don't have a 73-74 manual) which raises boiling point of the water to about 250 deg. Many guys run even lighter pressure caps these days to, presumably, put less stress on old cooling components. This cap is on my '70 and is supposed to be correct. I'm not sure about '73s, though.

That’s the correct cap for 1970-71, the 72 up is the plain one with no label. The kit currently sold is very flimsy and I also don’t want shiny, this is a survivor so I need old one I can clean up but yet have patina.
Brett, I believe on the heater hoses it just like on your car the crimp kind, but I’ll take what I can get. I kinda trust the tower clamps more. The car has worm gear type now and they are 100% wrong

Have at least three larger tower clamps and perhaps two or three heater hose sized ones.
