I have a 225 V-6 Oddfire in my Jeep. After looking at a Distributor Cap on a HEI Distributor, I am questing the spacing of the terminals on the cap I have on the Delco Distributor in the Jeep. All the terminals are evenly spaced on the cap. Was a distributor cap ever made to copy the HEI cap? The cap I got is a Napa RR189 which I was told was the right cap for a oddfire.

That's normal. The rotor is what's unique, it should have a tail on the outer terminal about 3/4" long. One other thing that is unique on an odd fire V6 is the cam that runs the points, the cam lobes are not equal. Be sure the wires are where they should be according to the book and you'll be ok. If your distributor is off a tooth or 2 off, you can't just move the wires around like you could on a V8 or even fire V6. BTW, if any members of you Jeep community is interested, I have 2 complete even fire carburated turbo 6 engines, non electronic. Just add 12V and fuel and the make 210 HP.
