I have a 1972 GS with 455. The idle solenoid is not being used for my normal idle speed setting. I would like to use it when air conditioning is turned on.
Does anyone have a picture or diagram to show me what wire I should tap into to energize the idle solenoid when air conditioning is turned on? Want to slightly increase idle speed when air conditioning is required.
    thanks

Get a test light then turn on the A/C to see which wire has 12 volts going to it. Cut that wire & extend it to the wire on the solenoid. Simple, easy, done.

So tee into the green wire that connects to clutch on compressor?
