I got a trunk weatherstrip channel that flaked away in parts when i removed the old weatherstrip from it. Some parts of the channel have rotted all the way through.

Any ideas on replacing it? Do I need to look for a donor somewhere and cut the entire trunk channel out or find some scrap metal somewhere and shape it? Not sure which route is easier/more feasible.

    Thanks.

depending on the year and model, some of these are available new (i.e. 70-72 I believe is the same as Chevelle) for the quarter panel sections, many others are not, so it may be best to have them cut off a donor.

ah, yeah, with a 69, doesnt seem like parts are easy to come by and i'm probably gonna chalk trunk channel up to the category also. i'm hoping the swap meets this spring in Carlisle (and Hershey if they have it) will have some of the stuff i need.
