Trunk lid bonding?

My trunk lid skin is "loose' from the inner skin, so I'm getting some "oil canning" of the skin. I assume that the bonding between the inner & outer skins has let go- it's only 54 years old! I was thinking of injecting some adhesive between the inner & outer skins.
Any tips? Obviously nothing that will expand.

Liquid nails comes to mind. Even some sort of silicone would probably work.

3M and SEM both make a 2 part foam/seam sealer that is specifically made for this. I’ll see if I can find it.

Thank you once again. If it's about Buicks, and it's not on here, it never happened.

Hey, it worked and I had it on hand. Cured it was just like the factory stuff on the outside edges.
