I have a Tremec TKO ll 5 speed transmission (.85 od) mated to a 400 hp small block. When doing some spirited driving and in second gear, specifically getting off the throttle after a hard pull, the shifter handle will walk forward and back a bit, it did not always do this. The transmission was purchased new and I have under 1000 miles on it. The TKO ll came out just before the TKO 500 and 600. What causes the movement in second gear and what can be done to correct it? I understand the cut of the gears and them wanting to engage/disengage under different loads. Is there something wearing out or out of adjustment?
